a kitchen chat with a friend

If you don’t know the food blog, Dishin’ in the Kitchen, you’re really missing out. Like authors of many food blogs, Michelle – better known as Mac – shares recipes, but she also does pretty incredible interviews with food bloggers, home cooks, chefs, cookbook authors, and the like. Her interviews are a delight to listen to, and it really does feel like you’re sitting at the kitchen table, chatting over a cup of coffee.

I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Mac this week, and you can hear our conversation here. I must admit, I was pretty nervous going into the interview. I’m not sure why – I guess it’s my fear of sounding stupid. And, while I still think my voice sounds pretty silly – and I can’t figure out where my accent is from – Mac did an amazing job of making me feel comfortable. It was much more of a kitchen chat than an interview.

So, want to hear my odd-sounding voice?  Want to learn how type-A I really am? Head on over to Dishin’ in the Kitchen and listen to me and Mac chatting it up.

Ms. MJ, I am just getting started in the food blogging world. Could I ask you a few questions and some advice via email sometime?

MJ, I really did enjoy talking with you! I so appreciated your time, but most of all I appreciated the chance to make a new friend. You are a dear. I felt, and still feel, so fortunate to have had the opportunity to “meet” you and get to know you a bit more. Hope we meet in real life some day. I’ll have that to look forward to. Thank you, again. Your interview was a delight.
