introducing…me!

Have you ever wondered what I sound like? Whether I’m really real, or just a figment of your imagination? Well, folks, I’ll prove that I do exist, that I’m not just a robot behind the keyboard.

I’m going to show you proof. Video proof.

Now, don’t get your hopes up too high. I probably look a little funny. I know my accent is strange – not really southern, not really northern, just some odd hybrid. I’m just an ordinary person. On a badly made video, I might add.

Anyway, I’ll stop stalling. Here we go.

Introducing…me.

PS: I live by lists too. But you know that already.
PPS: My question for you is “When are you coming to visit me in Toronto?” πŸ™‚

Great video! I’ve been enjoying your blog for a while now – and of course on twitter as well! (@smithbrad)

I’m a Rhode Island based wedding photographer who has always loved the kitchen and cooking dating back to my short-order cook days in college. I’ve recently started vegetable gardening, have been home brewing beer for several years now, and enjoy reading blogs like yours for inspiration and motivation to try new things in the kitchen.

Thanks – keep it up! Good to “meet” you!

Even though I met you, I loved watching the video – you are as warm and positive on camera as you are in person.
I could not function without lists and without a notebook that has my whole life in it:)
Past few years have been extraordinarily stressful for me and I found solace and therapy in writing my food blog, so I can relate.
Thumbs up for venturing into the new frontier!

Hi! I’m Jill – and in addition to my love of cooking blogs (I’ve been a fan of yours since I met it – a few months ago) I’m finishing up graduate school (Communication), getting married (New Years Eve), moving (makes being married easier if you live in the same state), and I work with grants about health/healthcare at a regional University – about half of what I do involves communication about cancer. So, yeah. Hi.
(in case it’s not well-implied there, I’m loving your cancer food blog)

Hi Merry, nice job! I have never added a video to my blog, There is a Kansan in the Kitchen, but I might think about it. My blog is not just about food, even though I am a retired chef. I also write about painting and genealogy.
I discovered your blog about a month ago and I thoroughly enjoy it. Now that I have “met” you, I look forward to reading more and seeing more videos!
My question for you is, how do you learn how to add a video to a blog?
    Thanks!
    Kay

Most of my work is videos, but I'm so scared of putting my face or voice in them. I recently did one, and lost my voice and couldn't finish the second half!

You are so brave, and you are great on camera! ^_^

I've been reading ever since I met you and all of you wonderful food bloggers back in FL at Food Blog Forum. Hope to see more of your vids!

It’s wonderful getting to know you virtually in “person”. Your great on camera, very personable, super cute and well versed – I vote for more video blogging here. I visit and read your blog – you make me smile a lot. I’m amazed at how you juggle it all – I have to keep a lists too! I’m reaching the age where I can’t remember where the list is or where my glasses are to read the list; or where my phone is to read the list I emailed to myself. Hope to see more videos here and I adore the gold stilettos.
