a present for myself, and a giveaway for you: eat boutique jams
I bought myself a little something recently.
Okay, maybe more than a little something. Last weekend in Las Vegas, I splurged on a gorgeous pair of sparkly gold stilettos. They were the perfect pair of shoes for Vegas, but I’m going to find any excuse to wear them now that I’m back home. I have to get the cost-per-wear down a bit, if you know what I mean.
But this post isn’t about my new shoes. This is about the other little gift I bought for myself. This gift is one that won’t hurt my toes or cause me to twist an ankle. This one was waiting for me when I got home from Vegas, delivered carefully to my front step, and was filled with sweetness. Literally.
Maggie, the lovely lady behind the brilliant concept that is Eat Boutique, added some new gift boxes to the Eat Boutique line up, just in time for the holidays. I treated myself to a box of her favorite jams.
I’m a big fan of Eat Boutique, and meeting Maggie this September in New York City for a cup of coffee was a highlight of my trip. She’s such a warm and friendly person, filled with an amazing energy. Our brief get-together in a Soho coffee shop just wasn’t long enough.
You might remember that in July, Maggie was generous enough donate a gift box for me to give away to one of my readers. And just recently, I included an Eat Boutique gift box in my holiday food gift guide. And I’m not the only one who fawns over Eat Boutique. Just yesterday, Food52 included an EB gift box in their hand-curated Shop.
Included in the box are four jams – Sqirl Kumquat Chamomile Marmalade (from Los Angeles), We Love Jam Blenheim Apricot Jam (from San Francisco), Blue Chair Jam Tomato Provencal Jam (also from San Francisco), and The Stand Blueberry Cinnamon Jam (from Brooklyn, New York).
The assortment of flavors is heavenly. Trust me.
And, once again, Maggie has promised to give a box of these jams away to one of my readers for free. She’s pretty incredible, that Maggie.

Congrats! You’ll love the jams gift box. Happy holidays!
Tough questions! I love giving peppermint bark over the holidays, or some homemade cookies. This year I’m trying to make homemade panettone, and I think that would be great one too 🙂
These jams look wonderful!
I’m old school, I like to give homemade vanilla! It’s simple and classic and everyone uses it 🙂
I totally laughed at the “twisted ankle” bit. 😉 I’m a cookie giver – it’s simple and fun. 🙂
I love giving little goodie bags of cookies, candy, and a holiday bread.
And for Laura’s comment – I made homemade panettone last winter and it was amazing!
I give away homemade vanilla too 🙂 and I give so many baked items out at christmas – Italian rainbow cookies, pignoli, a variety of brownies, pound cakes, pecan pies and right now I’m soooo behind. No one ever gives me anything homemade because they “think” I can do it better which is very disappointing. This would be a perfect birthday gift for me – my birthday is on the 16th!
My favorite food item is Chocolate Covered Cherries, they are my favorite type of chocolate and hold a lot of sentimental memories for me.
I love giving away a good ole bag of puppy chow.
I love giving jams actually! I am forever canning and preserving and its feels great to give away my bounty. I also love giving away baked good (I do regularly) and a specialty I’m known for is flavoured marshmallows, my family loves them.
My favorite is homemade Christmas cookies!
I love giving candy for Christmas, whether it be fudge or divinity or caramels. Anything to use my candy thermometer which is a favorite toy in the kitchen. This year I actually bought the Blue Chair Jam Cookbook and it is amazing. I may be giving a few jars of delicious jam myself, but I’m not entirely sure I can part with them.
I LOVE to give my homemade butter toffee popcorn. 🙂
I like giving fudge! Or cookies.
I make lots of things to give- candy, breads etc but the one that everyone asks for is the jalapeno jam.I love anything someone has taken the time to make, especially if it is an old recipe that has been handed down in the family.
I love to give homemade dill pickles and jam after my summer canning. People really appreciate the thought and quality of homemade foods.
I love to give AND receive English Toffee!
fancy chocolates!
chocolate chip cookies
Anything homemade…and I love to share the cookies I’ve baked!
I’m a cookie giver all the way. But what I wouldn’t do to win these jams! Either. Or biy they’ll be at my houseplatters SOON!
I love to make caramel corn during the holidays but I have to give most of it away so that I don’t eat it all. It’s that good!! (if I say so myself!)
I love giving and receiving holiday goodies! My mother in law makes this amazing toffee, and in return my hubs and I make her truffles! LOVE!
My favorite food gift is Chocolates!!!!
My favorite foods to give or receive are dips, no doubt about it! Homemade dips are so much better than anything you can buy. They transport well, and the container they’re in can be wonderful, too.
Anything homemade! Most of the gifts I give are homemade. On the list this year: peppermint marshmallows, caramel sauce, and coffee syrups 🙂 Last year I made croutons for my dad, who absolutely loves them- haha.
A plate of holiday treats, a variety of all the things I made. A big hit with the neighbors and relatives. I put a lot of love into my baked goods!
My favorite is so simple, a bag of snack mix, homemade of course, and if you throw in M&M’s it makes it even better!
My friend makes the best cookies! Last year I received chocolate mint, ginger, and some yummy sugar cookies.
I love to give fudge (and receive it). It’s my guilty pleasure this time of the year!
Chocolate coated red velvet cake balls from bakerella…have done it for 2 yrs now!!
I love giving homemade chocolate truffles, cookies, caramel sauce, and hot fudge sauce
My favorite is homemade chocolate treats.
My favorite food to give is cookies. I bake up a storm during December to give an assorted spread of sweets to friends and family.
Snickerdoodles are the best to give and to get! 🙂
I have always liked to give homemade cookies, but I really want to try homemade vanilla!
I make an awesome chexmix that my family members beg me to make every year. It’s a family recipe passed on from my childhood best friend’s Mother. She gave it to me under one rule… I was to only make it between thanksgiving day-Christmas day. Perfect rule to make such a simple recipe so special.
Homemade pickles are an awesome gift!
My favorite food gifts to give are some of my homeade jellis, jams & chutneys along with pizzelles (an Italian waffle cookie). My favorite gifts to get are recipes, homae cured olives home made panettone.
I love getting chocolate!
I love giving trays of homemade cookies. Love to bake at least 8 types of cookies, as well as some different candies, so the tray has alot of variety! Thanks so much for the giveaway opp – it sounds yummy indeed!
I love giving homemade fancy mustards and preserves; they keep for awhile so I don’t worry as much about getting them there on a certain day or whether or not they’ll have time or inclination to eat them right away. 🙂
I love to make Limoncello to give to my friends. I have a very prolific lemon tree in my backyard, so it works out perfectly!
I was hoping for a photo of the gold heels 😉
My favorite food gift to give is homemade fudge. I love to receive any homemade food gift that’s not sweet (since my whole life is sugar). I love homemade crackers & bread.
Thanks for the fun giveaway offer! 🙂
I love receiving spices from around the world!
I love giving homemade glutenfree baking mixes. They’re a fun & easy project for people to do together, plus they help make last-minute holiday baking needs simpler.

Chocolate is always a great food to give/receive.
I’m intrigued by the awesomeness of jams. I’ve not played with jams much but now find myself wanting to try.
I love tea and only give it to those who love it as much as I do.
I too love giving tea to folks, maybe with some good honey, and a beautiful mug if I really like them. I also try to keep one or two extra canned jams or ketchups or salsas every batch to pass on to friends and family. And if I need something in a pinch, I’ll make a jar of granola to share! (In a Weck jar if they are really deserving).
I love to give and receive loaves of breads like pumpkin, zucchini, nut, banana, etc. They are great to put out for brunch or for a dessert!
I love to give handmade chocolates as gifts. They are always welcomed too!
