holiday gift guide – beautiful things for the cook you love

You may not know this, but I’m a sucker for beautiful style and design. I get sucked in to design blogs, filled with lovely color palettes and pretty objects, and I would waste all afternoon on Pinterest if given half the chance. Well, maybe not all afternoon, but at least a good hour of it.

If you happen to know someone like me, the items below would make wonderful gifts.

A handful of pretty things for the stylish cook in your life:

color block apron from anthropologie

a set of baking dishes from simon pearce

ideal bookshelf print

a cutting board for ocd types - like me - from uncommon goods

beautiful wooden spoons - one or all of them

olive wood paddle boards from west elm

four seasons tea towels from claudia pearce, on etsy

weck canning jars

letterpress recipe cards and box

I know Weck; I should have stock in Weck. I make all of my holiday gifts from foods to liqueurs and just yesterday, some wood butter for kitchen items like those gorgeous wooden spoons. Which I would like from Santa.

The cutting board is a must. I still write on a ruler when I adress my letters.

These are beautiful ideas! My cousin is a woodworker (David Burling fine furniture) and makes the most beautiful wood serving boards, which have been my go-to gift for a long time. Each one is different and they’re all amazing – plus you get to support an artist / small business as opposed to a large store!

That’s a great idea, Amelia. Does your cousin have a website?

I’ve been wanting one of those olive wood boards for a while. I was looking at them online yesterday. They are certainly on my holiday wish list. So beautiful. (And so are the other times too).
