sausage and lentil soup
What do you do when your father-in-law gives you a pound of some amazing smoked sausage? Well, after you stop nibbling away at it, you throw it in a pot with some lentils and make a comforting pot of sausage and lentil soup.
Today I’m guest posting over at Babble’s The Family Kitchen. Click over and visit, and you can find my recipe for this savory soup.
Special thanks to Kelsey, the amazing woman behind The Naptime Chef, for asking me to contribute to Babble’s The Family Kitchen.
How lucky you are! I want good sausage too please!!!!!
See you at the IFBC 🙂
Lael, I’m so happy you’re going to IFBC too. I’m looking forward to seeing you again! Also? I really, really, really need to get down to Sarasota for one of your classes.
Two of my most favorite soups are lentil and split pea. Now I just need a father-in-law with the capabilities of yours and I’m sure mine would be elevated to new heights!
Yum! I love lentil soup, so I will head on over to see the recipe right away! Congrats on being featured on The Family Kitchen!
Where does your father in law get his smoked sausage (or does he make it)? That sounds amazing!
Emily – He buys his from a local sausage company and then he smokes it himself. It really IS amazing.
