a spring break & cinnamon-apple crisp
I’m taking a little time off from blog posting next week. It’s time for some downtime with the family during our spring break week. I’d love for you to discover some other wonderful blogs while I’m away. These are three sites – of very many on my RSS reader list – that I enjoy reading, and I hope you’ll check them out.
- Lottie + Doof is a gorgeous food blog written by Chicago-based artist Tim Mazurek. His post on Dorie Greenspan’s jammers cookies is an example of his fabulous work.
- 5 second rule is written by Cheryl Sternman Rule, a freelance food writer from the Silicon Valley. Her writing style is open, honest, completely refreshing, and often filled with humor. She keeps me smiling.
- Written by one of my newest friends-in-real-life, Tami, Running With Tweezers is lovely to look at and even more of a pleasure to read. Tami has a great sense of style, and it’s very obviously reflected in her blog. I’m dying to make her most recent Saturday Soup.
Oh, and before I forget, I’ve made a lovely little dessert to keep your tummy happy while I’m gone. Head on over to MomItForward to get my recipe for this Cinnamon-Apple Crisp. You won’t be disappointed.
LOVE the Lottie & Doof blog…..I was hooked when I saw the post on the jammers. I never thought of using a whoopie pie pan!!
Have a great vacation, MJ! xo
Thanks so much, Gail!
Thanks so much for the kind words about Lottie + Doof! I’m so happy to have found your site, too. Have a great spring break!
Thanks, Tim. It’s my pleasure. 🙂
Aw, Merry-Jennifer, I too am very flattered. 5 Second Rule is a real labor of love for me, and growing the community to the point where it gets recognized by smart, thoughtful people like yourself makes all the work worthwhile.
Enjoy your time off!
Thanks, Cheryl!
Have a wonderful break MJ – and those three blogs are already in my reader too! Great minds!!!
Thanks, Mardi!
These are all wonderful bloggers… with terrific blogs. Thanks for sharing with those who may not have heard of them!
Great blog suggestions. Have a super spring break.
Really like your cinnamon apple crisp recipe, makes for a great dessert, light and filling. Of the blogs you mentioned, Lottie & Doof is indeed very good and well done as is yours. Enjoy your Spring Break and thank you for sharing. Will visit the other blogs you mentioned.
